Niall Lynch was born in Norway and raised in Alaska.  He has a BA in Russian from Reed college and an M.A. in Ancient Near Eastern Languages from the University of Chicago.

He lived in Chicago for 20 years, where he first encountered Mexican artists and art, and first began to understand the special bond between that city and the Mexican art scene.  Because of these relationships, he has travelled extensively in Mexico, and has a special affection for CDMX, where he benefited greatly from learning about Mexico’s great artistic culture, both traditional and avant garde.
